Homie — Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Homie mobile application (“App”). By using Homie you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Homie. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

  • On first launch we create an anonymous account tied to your device.
  • You may optionally link an Apple or Google account to back up your work.
  • You are responsible for keeping your linked account credentials secure.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use Homie to:

  1. Upload photos you don’t have the right to use — only upload photos of spaces you own, rent, or have permission to redesign.
  2. Generate sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or harassing content.
  3. Violate intellectual property of architects, designers, or property owners.
  4. Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API beyond the in-app limits.
  5. Bypass payment — don’t share your subscription account with others.

We may suspend access immediately for any violation.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of photos you upload. By uploading, you grant Homie a limited license to:

  • Process the photo through our AI pipeline
  • Store the input and output in our Cloud Storage on your behalf
  • Display the result back to you inside the App

We do not claim ownership and do not use your photos to train AI models.

5. AI-Generated Content

AI-generated designs:

  • Are produced by OpenAI gpt-image-1, a third-party model.
  • May contain artifacts, inaccuracies, or unexpected output. This is the nature of AI generation and not a defect.
  • Are for inspiration and visualization only — not architectural, structural, or renovation advice. Consult a licensed professional before any real construction, renovation, or purchase decision.
  • Carry the same usage rights as OpenAI permits — you can use generated images commercially provided you comply with OpenAI’s usage policies.
  • We provide them “as is” with no warranty of accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose.

6. Subscriptions & Payment

6.1 Free tier

A limited number of generations per day at no cost. Upgrade to Pro for more.

6.2 Pro tier

Homie Pro unlocks unlimited (or significantly higher) daily generations across all features, ad-free. Available as weekly, monthly, or yearly subscriptions — exact pricing and any free trial are shown on the in-app paywall before you subscribe.

6.3 Billing

  • Charges appear on your Apple ID or Google Play account.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Cancel via App Store Settings → Subscriptions, or in-app via Settings → Manage Subscription. We do not process refunds — contact Apple for refund requests.

6.4 Price changes

We may adjust prices. You’ll be notified at least 30 days before a price change takes effect on your renewal.

7. Service Availability

We do our best to keep Homie running 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may pause AI generation if we hit infrastructure or cost limits (rare; you’ll see a clear in-app message and can retry later).

8. Intellectual Property

The Homie brand, app design, and code are owned by us. You may not copy or redistribute them.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. GENERATED DESIGNS ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL OR CONSTRUCTION ADVICE.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR MAXIMUM LIABILITY TO YOU IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD 50 IF YOU HAVEN’T PAID).

10. Termination

You can stop using Homie at any time. We can terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Istanbul, unless otherwise required by your local consumer-protection laws.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
